Bridging communities' digital divide

We connect rural schools and health facilities to the internet, power them with solar energy, and train local young people to keep them running.

Our goals for 2028

These are targets, not results. We are a new company, and we will report our progress against them.

The challenge

The last mile is where development projects stall

International agencies fund ambitious programmes to connect schools and clinics. Too often they stop short of the people they were built for.

Why Ponte Digital exists

Logistical fatigue

Global vendors supply hardware in bulk but lack local teams for warehousing and delivery across 11 provinces.

No reliable power

Remote schools and clinics often lack the electricity needed to run computers, networks or satellite ground stations.

The maintenance vacuum

Many connectivity programmes fail within 12 to 24 months because no local engineers are there to keep them working.

How we work

Door-to-field delivery

Our partners deliver equipment to our facility in Mozambique. From there, we handle everything.

Our partner ships the equipment to our door

  1. Phase 1

    At our warehouse

    • Warehousing & inventory
    • Dispatch control
  2. Phase 2

    On the road

    • Internal logistics
    • In-transit & site security
  3. Phase 3

    On site

    • Power & connectivity
    • Technical training
    • Site commissioning
  4. Phase 4

    For years after

    • Ongoing maintenance

Where we work

Based in Mozambique, ready for the region

Our work starts at home. We plan to reach every province of Mozambique, then grow across Southern Africa.

Map of Ponte Digital’s base and planned growthMap of southern Africa. Mozambique is highlighted and divided into its 11 provinces, with a marker on Maputo, where our office is. Dashed rings spread out from Mozambique across the region to show where we plan to grow. No other country is marked as a place where we work.
  • Mozambique, our base today

We are registered and licensed to deliver our services in Mozambique, with our office in Maputo.

  • All 11 provinces, our plan

We aim to train local technicians in every province, so each site has people nearby who can keep it working.

  • Southern Africa, where we plan to grow

We want to be the last-mile partner for technology firms delivering programmes across the region.

Learning to Earn

Every installation builds local careers

In Mozambique, only 7 to 10% of students reach university. We embed vocational training in every contract, so young people gain a profession and communities keep a technical presence.

  • We recruit and train regional youth teams in solar installation, network troubleshooting and hardware upkeep.
  • We commit to gender-balanced hiring, training and project leadership.
  • Trained technicians become local maintenance agents, and we aim to reach all 11 provinces.
